Summary: The Hellenic Leniency Programme is undoubtedly a necessary tool in the fight against cartels in Greece. Nevertheless, it raises a number of theoretical and practical issues, which would have been avoided, had the Competition Commission taken into consideration the rich European experience and practice, before attempting to introduce a Programme along the lines of the EU Leniency Notice.
